JOB SAFETY ANALISYS

Photobucket
One way to prevent accidents in the workplace is to establish and develop work procedures and train all workers to apply methods that work efficiently and safely. Constructing the correct working procedures is one of the advantages of implementing Job Safety Analysis (JSA) - which includes the study and make a report each step of work, identification of job hazards existing or potential (both health and safety), and determine the best way to reduce and eliminate this danger.

JSA is used to review the working methods and finding hazards:
  • Perhaps overlooked in plant layout or design of the building and the machinery, equipment, tools, work stations and processes.
  • Provide changes in work procedures or personnel.
  • It may be developed after production begins.
Understanding Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
JSA is a systematic identification of potential hazards in the workplace that can be identified, analyzed and recorded. Things are done in the application of JSA:
Identify the hazards associated with each step of the job that has the potential to cause serious harm.
Determine how to control the hazards.
Make a written tools that can be used to train other staff.
Meet with OSHA trainers to develop procedures and work rules that are specific to each job.
